Typically, we have three year VTS programmes which are made up from the following posts:

• A+E,

• Paediatrics,

• Obstetrics+Gynaecology,

• ENT,

• Psychiatry,

• Palliative Care Medicine,

• Care of the Elderly,

and can include the following Innovative Training Posts (ITP's):

• GP + Paeds + O/G,

• GP + Sexual Health,

• GP + Rheumatology + Dermatology

• GP + Public Health

From August 2009 we plan to have all programmes including one ITP so that 18 months of each programme is based in General Practice.

There may be occasional places for doctors at ST2 or ST3 level of entry.

There are currently 13 GP trainers in 8 training practices spread across the area from Greenwich village centre in the west, to Thamesmead in the east
